Omaha Empowerment Breakfast (omahaempowermentbreakfast.org) is excited to have Brent Pohlman, CEO of Midwest Laboratories, as their speaker for the January 5 networking event. He will be discussing his book, Leaders Look Within: Own Your Heart to Live a Life of Gratitude.
Brent was given the opportunity to take over a great company his father, Ken Pohlman, founded in 1975. He has always wanted to be a leader and owner of a great company, and is grateful for the opportunity to build on his father’s legacy. As a person who has sought out how to be an effective leader, he has learned that being a great leader starts with you. It is critical to own “you” and be the CEO of your heart. Brent’s goal is that people, no matter where they are in their careers or at home, can look within and live with a heart of gratitude each and every day.
Brent shared, “My purpose in writing this book is to tell my story of transformation as a leader and why I am convinced that leaders need to look deeper within themselves and find their true self. Leading from the heart is the only way to lead.”
