In partnership with the Green Building Initiative, Nebraska Business Development Center is offering a two-day course targeted for business leaders who are looking to become part of a growing a network of professionals trained and authorized to support the assessment and certification process in supporting sustainable buildings and building practices.  On Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, the NBDC Green Globes Professional Certification program will teach attendees how to earn certification from Green Globes Professional.  The course will teach businesses the background, features and major components of Green Globes; a detailed explanation of the Green Globes assessment an certification process; all of the Green Globes modules including new construction, continual improvement of existing buildings and healthcare buildings; and the organization of Green Globes criteria and point allocation. Participants gain the added benefit of networking with and sharing information with other professionals.  The fee of $875 includes application fee, materials and final exam, plus initial two year certification.
