MOWBC to Celebrate Women’s History Month with March Events

Metro Omaha Women’s Business Center (MOWBC, www.mowbcf.org) is excited to celebrate Women’s History Month with a couple of educational and engaging events throughout the month. First, on March 11, there will be a workshop on Building Credit as an Asset. On March 19, MOWBC has invited a panel of women to share their struggles, triumphs, and what they’ve learned throughout their careers. Additionally, on March 18, there will be a B.A.I.L question and answer forum with experts from Security Nationsl Bank, DM Financial Services, Linoma Financial Services, and Carol Cleaver Law, to name a few.

The mission of the Metro Omaha Women’s Business Center is to empower women to become economically self-sufficient by providing targeted education, workshops, job training, strong relationships, and resources that provide business, professional, and personal growth. They create economic opportunities and bring value to their members through their signature MOWBC programs. In February, in honor of Black History Month, they arranged an impressive speaker lineup, including Ashley Kuhn, Miranda Adams, Dannette R. Smith, Dr. Cynthia Gooch Grayson, Carmen Tapio, Dr. Jessiline Anderson, and Marshawn Ford Rush—all of whom are strong women of color who have made an amazing impact in their communities.
