Millard Business Association to Take Part in Millard Days Festival, August 24-29
The Millard Business Association (MBA, millarddays.com) is excited to take part in Millard Days, an annual week-long festival during the last full week of August. MBA participates in the parade by walking with a float and throwing candy to the excited children. The parade is on August 28, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and the path goes down Millard Avenue from 132nd Ave to 138th St. For inquiries about volunteering with the float, please contact Roxy Starkey at roxy@booksbyroxyllc.com or Todd Baumbach at toddeb1225@gmail.com.

The Millard Days Committee is comprised of various participating organizations for the festival and is chartered to provide scholarships to students attending schools in the Millard area. Seniors from Millard South, Millard North, Millard West, and Skutt Catholic High Schools are eligible for the Millard Days scholarship. In addition, over $400,000 in grants to community programs have been made over the past five decades. Prior proceeds have gone to support emergency equipment for the fi re department, Millard area parks, Millard Senior Center, Boys Scouts, Millard school and athletic fi eld improvements, and hundreds of other worthy causes.
Millard Days began in 1964 when the Millard Jaycees hosted an afternoon barbecue in the park to celebrate a successful charter year. Now, over 50 years later, Millard Days is a full week of activities for families to enjoy. For more information and details about the upcoming festival, visit millarddays.com.
