Millard Business Association Announces Winners from 2019 Ribstock Festival

On July 27, the Millard Business Association (www.MillardBusinessAssociation.org) held their 7th annual Ribstock Festival at Stinson Park in Aksarben Village. This year’s event featured 12 local BBQ vendors. The winner of the People’s Choice Grand Champion was LeBlanc’s BBQ and Cajun. The Reserve Grand Champion was a tie between Heuy’s Smokehouse BBQ and Wayne’s New Skoo BBQ, and the First Runner up was Billy Bucks Smokehouse. In partnership with the Food Bank of the Heartland, this tremendous event drew over 5,000, making it the biggest Ribstock to date. One of the vendors who has been in the smoking business for 18 years said this was his biggest one-day event ever!

The festival featured live music and fun activities for all. Blue House with the Rent to Own Horns belted out some great jazz in the afternoon and Eckophonic turned up the heat as the sun went down. Hines Glow provided the Entertainment Zone for children of all ages, and the Millard Business Young Professionals held Ribstock’s first cornhole tournament with 20 teams in a heated competition to take home a cash prize. In addition, three cars were provided by Auto Body Concepts Collision Center for the car smash. FotoFunSpot also had three cameras throughout Stinson Park for some fun BBQ selfie ops!

The Millard Business Association would like to thank all the businesses who made this event possible, along with all the people who attended and supported their groups’s efforts.
