Unique Event Invites Competitors to ‘Get Down and Dirty for a Good Cause’

Those seeking adventure get to have their fill of fun, and mud, at the Midwest Mud Rush (MidwestMudRush.com), Saturday, June 4 at Pheasant Bonanza in Tekamah, NE. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Avenue Scholars Foundation, an Omaha-based non-profit organization that provides students from low-income families with comprehensive support across their respective journeys from high school, through postsecondary education and training, and into a career.

Designed for people of all fitness levels, the 5K course set in the beautiful Loess Hills features 12 obstacles, rushing through creeks, splashing through ponds, and of course, tons of mud. Afterwards, runners and spectators can enjoy music and refreshments as a reward for their muddy accomplishment. Pheasant Bonanza, located one hour north of Omaha at 3097 County Road O in Tekamah, NE, also features a new 15-room lodge for participants wishing to spend the night. Those booking a room will receive discounted Mud Rush rates.

If you want to challenge yourself to new levels or just have fun with friends or colleagues while helping a good cause, the Midwest Mud Rush is an experience you don’t want to miss.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 4 with flexible starting times from 8:00 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. Individual tickets and corporate packages for the Midwest Mud Rush may be purchased in advance at MidwestMudRush.com or by calling 1-888-366-4868.
