Midtown Crossing’s eco-friendly boutique hotel, Element Omaha Midtown Crossing, has earned prestigious LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) designation signifies Element Omaha’s dedication to protecting the environment through recycling and green efforts.
Designed to be “green from the ground up,” Element Omaha Midtown Crossing blends nature-inspired smart design, inspiring public spaces, and comfortable modern touches. Recycled or green products from carpets to low VOC (volatile organic compounds) paints are used whenever possible; natural light is maximized throughout the hotel; and recycling bins are available in guest rooms and public areas.
Element Omaha (as does all Element Hotels) conserves water and energy with low-flow faucets and fixtures, compact florescent light bulbs and energy-efficient appliances. To further reduce waste, guest room bathrooms are equipped with amenity dispensers, kitchens are supplied with silverware and glassware instead of plastic utensils and paper cups, and filtered drinking water is available rather than plastic water bottles.
