On June 1st, Metro Construction opened their Omaha office on the main level of the historic Omar Bakery Building. Metro Construction provides roofing, insulation, energy efficient, improvements and storm damage recovery to homes in Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri and Wyoming. The company is committed to ethical business, environmentally friendly procedures, and customer education.
I AM Dance studio officially opened in the OMAR Baking Building in July. The I AM Dance (Interdisciplinary Arts Movement) mission is to empower all youth to achieve their artistic potential and to foster an appreciation of the Performing Arts through an arts education program. Participants have the opportunity to study many forms of dance including Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater, Hip-Hop, Salsa and African just to name a few. The company is founded by Gennean M. Scott, a native of Omaha who has been dancing for 35 years and travelled the country with her talent.
The OMAR Baking Building is located just off the intersection of Saddle Creek and Cuming Street, Omar is near Destination Midtown, the Saddle Creek Realignment Project, and is part of the Walnut Hill community.
