Lund-Ross Constructors earned the night’s top honor at the Associated Builders and Contractors 18th Annual Excellence in Construction Awards ceremony on February 27. The Awards honor the region’s best construction projects and are hosted by the Cornhusker Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). Lund-Ross was awarded Project of the Year for the $10.6-million expansion of the OneWorld Community Health Centers campus in south Omaha.
The project scope included the construction of two new 40,000-square-foot buildings on either side of the Livestock Exchange Building. Each building features clinic and administrative space on floors one and two, affordable senior housing on floors three and four, and underground parking. Sustainable materials like high-efficiency mechanical systems, reflective white TPO roofing, and low-VOC paints and adhesives were used throughout the project, and new paving, landscaping, and two new playgrounds were completed. The OneWorld campus expansion project increased clinic space for the prenatal and women’s health programs, expanded minor urgent care services, and provided 32 new affordable housing units for seniors in the south Omaha community.
Lund-Ross Constructors was founded in Omaha in 1987 and is an award-winning general contractor with annual revenues between $45 and $50 million.
