Living In The Yellow Adds Basic Pistol Class

Patty Nun, an NRA trained pistol instructor and owner of Living In The Yellow (www.LivingInTheYellow.org/classes), has announced the addition of a fall Women’s Basic Pistol Class to be offered in Lincoln, NE on Saturday, September 22.

Living In The Yellow has been providing Women’s Basic Pistol Training Classes since 2014 and this class is a prerequisite for those who would like to attend their CHP training.  “We feel strongly that a basic pistol class better prepares a woman to know and understand how to safely operate a firearm and provides them with the confidence needed to be able to select a gun they will be personally comfortable with owning and operating.” This program is for those with little or no previous experience with a handgun. Everything is provided in a safe environment free of any live ammunition.  Following the classroom portion, range time is provided with trained RSOs (Range Safety Officers) who guide participants in confidently firing a pistol.

Living In The Yellow’s next CHP (Concealed Handgun Permit) Course for Women, for women is scheduled for Saturday, October 27.  This program is approved and required for those women who would like to apply to the Nebraska State Patrol to be able to carry a concealed handgun.

“There is no substitute for being prepared and aware of our surroundings to insure the safety of ourselves and our family members.  That is the common theme of our training,” says Nun.
