Kiewitt, in partnership with the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC), will host the Omaha Diversity Week Small Business & Supplier Diversity Event on Friday, October 10 from 8-11 a.m. The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum where small businesses can come in and talk to large businesses about current and future opportunities, learn how to register on company sites, ask questions face-to-face, and network with other local small businesses. The event is free and will be held in the Blackstone Room at Hilton Omaha, 1001 Cass Street.
All types of small business are welcome, including veteran-, women- and minority owned businesses, and those in the HUBzone or 8(a) programs. Participating Businesses include Aerotek, Blue Cross Blue Shield, City of Omaha, ConAgra Foods, First National Bank, Kiewit Corporation, Mutual of Omaha, OPPD, Union Pacific and Valmont. Business Service Center Participants include City of Omaha, First National Bank, Midlands Industry Liaison Group (ILG), Mountain Plains Minority Supplier Development Council, NBDC, OFCCP, Omaha Chamber of Commerce, SBA, CIRAS.
