Immanuel Opens First 55+ Community in Council Bluffs, Graceview Courtyard

Immanuel (Immanuel.com), the Midwest’s leader in retirement and senior living communities, is pleased to announce its first community in Council Bluffs, Graceview Courtyard, an affordable 55+ active living environment. A grand opening celebration was held on February 27 with tours of the new facility.

“It’s been the culmination of hard work and collaborative efforts that leads us to the opening of this incredible 55+ living environment,” said Eric Gurley, Immanuel president and CEO. “We’re proud of our team and excited for Iowa residents to find their new home at Graceview Courtyard.”

Graceview Courtyard joins Immanuel’s existing Classic Courtyard offerings and will provide an affordable 55+ active living environment for those who qualify through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program.

Wrapped in Immanuel’s local leadership and expertise, the community features light and bright 28 one-bedroom and 28 two-bedroom apartments, all appliances and utilities included. A wellness area, cozy community room and studio for crafts and hobbies complete the campus. Close to grocery stores, shopping, libraries and Iowa Western Community College’s senior programming, this community offers independent residents a perfect location in the heart of Council Bluffs.

Immanuel owns and operates 14 retirement living communities in Omaha and Lincoln. In 2018, the organization acquired its first community in Iowa, The Shores at Pleasant Hill, just outside of Des Moines. Graceview Courtyard is the organization’s second community in Iowa. Immanuel Pathways PACE® (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) centers, operates two locations in Iowa and one in Omaha.
