Immanuel Collaborates with Lightengale Group to Build Affordable Senior Housing

Immanuel Communities (www.immanuelcommunities.com), in partnership with Lightengale Group, is pleased to announce the closing of a land purchase in November, the future home of an affordable housing development project for seniors in Council Bluffs, IA. The now vacant land will be transformed into a three-story affordable senior living community, housing 56 apartments for the area’s growing retiree population.

The new community will add to Immanuel’s growing array of 14 senior living communities on eight campuses in Omaha, Lincoln, and Papillion, NE and Des Moines, IA. Immanuel currently operates two affordable communities in Omaha and Papillion, and this fall, acquired ownership of their first community in Iowa, The Shores at Pleasant Hill in Des Moines. At more than 58,000 square feet, the new community will feature 28 one-bedroom and 28 two-bedroom apartments and designs aligned with Immanuel’s commitment to the wellbeing of seniors. Residents will see an abundance of common spaces, wellness center, beauty and barber salon, storage lockers, and more. All at close proximity to retail shopping, grocery stores and dining. At least 35% of the building will be fully accessible for those with physical disabilities.

Lightengale Group (LGG) is an affordable housing real estate financial advisory firm offering services to experienced and non-experienced developers nationally. In addition to Lightengale Group, Immanuel would also like to thank you to the following for their partnership in this development: City of Council Bluffs, Iowa Economic Development Authority, Iowa Finance Authority, Midwest Housing Equity Group, Horizon Bank, and Clock Tower.
