Igloos in The Capitol District to Offer Safe Fun this Winter
With the prospect of a cold, socially-distanced winter ahead, The Capitol District (www.capitoldistrictomaha.com) has unveiled the solution to people in search of some COVID-safe winter fun. The Igloos at The Capitol District are private, cozy, six-person igloos spaced throughout The Capitol District’s modern town square. Available to rent for $100 for each two-and-a-half block of time, the igloos are outfitted with comfortable seating, a heat-producing fireplace, and even twinkle lights to create a magical ambiance. It’s like being inside a cozy snow globe.
Guests renting the igloos can pre-order take-out from one of the many restaurants and bars surrounding The Capitol District, taking advantage of exclusive deals. The Ice Lounge, where renters check-in, will also have televisions with DVD players and movies, board games, and blankets for customers to check-out at no additional charge for use during their time in the igloo. All items will be cleaned and sanitized before re-use, and a 30-minute block of time will allow staff to fully sanitize each igloo between guests. The igloos will be available to rent through February via The Capitol District’s website, and guests are encouraged to use the igloos with only those people they’d usually be around to prevent the spread of COVID.
