Hyatt Place Omaha/Downtown-Old Market celebrated its introduction to the community by hosting a Grand Opening Event on Thursday, December 12, 2013, that featured small businesses in the Old Market District with the proceeds benefitting the TeamMates program.  The program of activities began at 5pm and highlights of the occasion included a list of prominent speakers  such as Governor Dave Heineman; Cassie Seagren, Deputy Chief-of-Staff for Economic Development for the City of Omaha;  and David G. Brown, President and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.  Other speakers included Rob Sarmiento, Vice President of Sales for Hyatt, and John Tysdal, General Manager of Hyatt Place Omaha/Downtown-Old Market.
