Hot Mama, an upscale boutique on a mission to empower moms, signed a lease to open a store next spring in Omaha at Regency Court, a popular indoor shopping center. This will be Hot Mama’s first location in Nebraska.

Eight years ago, Megan Tamte, founder of Hot Mama, was so convinced that moms wanted designer clothing with unparalleled service that she and her husband, Michael Tamte, opened their first Hot Mama store in Edina, Minnesota. Today, Hot Mama has 30 stores in eleven states.  Megan’s vision is confirmed with hundreds of requests to add a Hot Mama store to new markets across the United States every year.

Hot Mama was created to be an upscale yet down-to-earth boutique that offered contemporary designer clothing and premium denim perfectly suited for a mom’s age and lifestyle. Within its “mom” niche, Hot Mama focuses primarily on a customer who wants to stay on-trend in fashion, parenting and lifestyle. In a recent survey, Hot Mama found that half of its customers were in their thirties while 40% were forty years old or older. With a typical store footprint of 2,500 square feet, Hot Mama aims to add multiple locations within a metropolitan area to make shopping more convenient for on-the-go, active moms.
