Hillcrest Health Services Acquires SilverRidge, Announces New Gretna Community
Last month, Hillcrest Health Services (www.hillcresthealth.com) acquired SilverRidge Assisted Living, a highly-respected, family-owned community on Hackberry Dr. near Gretna High School. The facility provides assisted living and memory support services, as well as childcare on campus called Little Ridges.
The assisted living community offers private apartments, 24-hour staffing and emergency response, restaurant-style dining, housekeeping and linen services, personal care, medication management, lifestyle programming, and an array of attractive common spaces. Memory support assisted living is provided in two freestanding cottages, each home to 14 residents with dementia.
In addition to the acquisition, Hillcrest announced plans for a new continuing care retirement community on the former Rod Kush property on HWY 6, just north of HWY 370. The community will be a partnership between Hillcrest, Frank Krejci’s Century Development and Omaha-based Essex Communities, which operates adult living communities in six Midwestern states.
“The new continuing care community will feature independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and post-acute rehab, and will be supported by Hillcrest’s home and community services like medical home health, companion services and hospice care, which already serve the Gretna community,” explained Hillcrest President Jolene Roberts.
Although the name of the new community has not been announced, the development partners are busy working on due diligence efforts and design plans.
