Harvest Cafe opened July 23rd at 16909 Lakeside Hills Plaza, #118 in Omaha, NE located just northwest of 168th & Center. Celebrating fresh, local and organic foods, Harvest has Chef Robert Barr at the helm of the menu creation.  Chef Barr is an Omaha native who was an Elkhorn restaurateur and an award winning European trained chef.

Tom Sawyer, owner and operator of Harvest Cafe, lived in Napa Valley with his wife Tricia for a brief period and originally anticipated opening Harvest in 2007.  Tricia battled breast cancer and unfortunately succumbed to her disease in 2010.  In her honor and as a way to promote her “cause” of healthy eating, Tom and their son Jake decided to make her dream a reality with the opening of Harvest Cafe.

“Good Clean Food” is the Harvest motto. It represents chef inspired fusion of California cuisine and that of a traditional European Café.

The “Clean Food” is locally produced or is brought in by “like”minded purveyors.  The food is made fresh without preservatives or unnatural additives.  Economically practical Harvest uses locally sourced organic produce and animal considerate meats.

Harvest Cafe is now open for breakfast and hours are 7 am to 2 pm.  An upscale wine bar along with a full savory kitchen will be launching in the fall complete with full service bar, wine list & upscale table service.
