Harrah’s Council Bluffs Casino and Hotel will bid farewell to the Kanesville Queen Riverboat as the casino wraps up more than a decade of gaming in preparation for a move to a land-based casino. Guests will have the chance to enjoy gaming on The Queen, Council Bluffs’ original casino until June 3. On June 8, a public grand opening celebration of the transformation of Harrah’s Council Bluffs will officially mark the opening of the newest and hottest gaming destination in the region.
This move to an updated state-of-the-art casino will provide guests a more easily accessible and convenient experience with access to gaming, restaurants and other amenities all on the same floor.

Harrah’s Council Bluffs will have more than 600 slot machines including 200 brand new games and a large amount of video poker machines making Harrah’s Council Bluffs the premiere place for video poker in the metro. The new casino will also have 18 table games featuring guest favorites including blackjack, craps and roulette. Guests will also experience a new atmosphere at Stir Bar, located just steps away from the casino.
