The Grounds Guys of SW Omaha owner Brandy Prettyman recently presented a seminar on Evaluating Contractor Value at the Apartment Association of Greater Omaha & Lincoln’s (AAGOL) April Lunch & Learn event. During this event she spoke to the importance of having a statement of work, completing a cost comparison for determining if a company should contract out the work they need done or complete those services in-house, and provided key examples of items to be considered when structuring a contract and a few items that companies may want to consider when selecting companies to work with. Prettyman also spoke at AAGOL’s Maintenance Morning on how to address concerns uncovered on your properties with managers in a way to garner action. Additionally, she discussed tips and tricks for quantifying potential results if concerns discovered on a property are not addressed by leadership.
