Grand Opening Held for GROW Nebraska Foundation’s Women’s Business Center
GROW Nebraska Foundation (www.grownebraskawbc.org) celebrated its grand opening of its Women’s Business Center, powered by the US Small Business Administration on May 12 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. The Women’s Business Center is located in the Village Empowerment Center on the Omaha Home for Boys campus, 5190 Sprague Plaza, STE 216. Many organizations came together to support the opening of the Center.
The GROW Nebraska Women’s Business Center is partnering with the Metro Omaha Women’s Business Center to offer different resources from webinars to training. The goal is to help women get started in running their own businesses, no matter what their experience level is; as well as to help those currently in business continue to scale and grow. They will be offering free resources to women entrepreneurs such as financing and business workshops. Leaders say they want to also be a friend as they believe women helping women is the best way to succeed.
GROW Nebraska Foundation was founded in 1998 with only 60 members. Today, GROW Nebraska Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, serving over 400 Nebraska businesses with an annual budget close to $1 million, and provides training to over 850 businesses yearly. Giving back to Nebraska businesses has always been the core cause of the foundation. GROW Nebraska helps businesses harness marketing through training, one-on-one technical assistance, and marketing platforms.
