Fusion (workwithfusion.com) has announced a new scholarship program, Compassion in Care – A Fusion Scholarship, aiming to assist students pursuing their Bachelor of Science in nursing. The application is open now and will close in March 2024. Ten recipients will be awarded $5,000 and will be matched with a Fusion mentor who will provide guidance while they attend nursing school.
“We know there is a staffing shortage, but we don’t want to just point that out. Fusion wants to be part of the solution, and one piece of that is encouraging more young people to choose careers in healthcare,” said Chief Clinical Officer Amber Barna, MSN, RN. “We want to be opening doors for nursing students and cheer for them along the way.”
The scholarship is renewable for up to four years and open to students in all stages of their nursing degree. Fusion created this program to help alleviate the burden of tuition costs and allow students to focus on their studies and clinical experience.
