FotoFunSpot (fotofunspot.com) recently brought its Lil’ Sketchy experience to Kearney, Nebraska, for the inaugural event hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program. The attendee and family night at Yanney Heritage Park welcomed approximately 150 guests for an evening centered around community, entrepreneurship and a little unexpected fun.

The idea started after the client spotted Lil’ Sketchy at another event and reached out to FotoFunSpot about creating a version specifically for Engler.

Guests submitted a selfie at a FotoFun Station or through a QR code, selected a caricature style and then watched as their personalized portrait was drawn in front of them. Even when guests chose the same style, no two finished sketches were alike.

Behind the scenes, FotoFunSpot customized the experience around the event’s attendance and timeframe, from the number of caricature options to guest flow. Each finished sketch was printed on custom 4×6 paper designed for the event.

“Part of the fun is watching people realize the experience isn’t just taking a photo,” the FotoFunSpot team shared. “They get to watch their sketch take shape right in front of them. Before long, other people are gathered around watching too.”

The Kearney event demonstrated how FotoFunSpot can tailor Lil’ Sketchy for conferences, universities, corporate events and other large gatherings.
