Former UNO Basketball Player Brings Better Flooring to Omaha with Footprints Floors
After working in various sales positions, Jake White, former University of Nebraska-Omaha basketball player, decided to take his career in a new direction by opening a Footprints Floors (footprintsfloors.com/omaha), a quality hardwood, tile, and laminate flooring service in Omaha. The new location is White’s first Footprints Floors franchise and he looks forward to serving his community with premier flooring. At the start of the pandemic, he opened a commercial janitorial service franchise, but after that took off he needed a new project to focus on.
“While researching new franchise opportunities, I had some contractors come out and do my floors,” said White. “I realized there was a level of unprofessionalism that was shown to me while in my home. I thought to myself, ‘if I had a flooring business, we could do better, show up on time, and provide a quote on the spot.’”
From there, White founded Footprints Floors and knew it was the key to providing Omaha with an affordable flooring business that exceeded the expectations of customers. He looks forward to becoming a household name in flooring or as ‘the floor guy’ throughout Omaha. His goal for his new venture is to start with his one territory and eventually grow it over the years as he takes on adjacent territories.
