Flagship Restaurant Group is thrilled to announce its fourth restaurant concept, Plank, which will open at 1205 Howard street this May, and will serve American coastal cuisine.  Flagship executive chef Tony Gentile and Plank executive chef Matt Moser are forming a menu of seafood specialties, including chilled appetizers, oyster appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches and fried seafood.  Plank will also feature gluten-free, happy hour, and children’s menus.

The restaurant will occupy the ground-level corner space within the new building on the southwest corner of 12th and Howard streets in the Old Market.  Plank’s interior will blend modern and rustic elements with a granite-top oyster bar, open-air kitchen, and mixed materials including ceramic tile and reclaimed barn wood.  A forty-seven foot wooden boat frame will hang from the ceiling between the bar and dining room.  The 4,500 square foot space will seat 150 indoors and an additional 45 on the outdoor patio.
