Diane Bruce, President and CEO, and Sarah Dighans, Director of Community Engagement, spent most of 2023 reconnecting with chamber members and reestablishing a calendar of worthwhile networking opportunities and events. Thanks to the dedicated support of several volunteer planning committees, four chamber signature events and 16 networking-based events took place from May to December.

The momentum gained in 2023 continues to roll in the first couple months of 2024. Leadership Bellevue will kick off in March. April will be a busy month with the long-standing Bellevue Chamber (bellevuenebraska.com) USSTRATCOM Annual Update, the second Who Done It mystery event, and the kick-off of a new event called BellevueOpoly. Late spring will usher in several smaller ventures before wrapping up the fiscal year with the Annual Dinner in September. The final major event of 2024 will come with Nebraska’s Official Veterans Day Parade hosted by the chamber in November.

Bruce said, “2023 was a whirlwind and 2024 is off to a fantastic start. We are excited about the events and opportunities we’re creating for our chamber membership and community at large. Bellevue will see a lot of change over the next few years with the new multimillion dollar indoor waterpark announced by Mayor Hike earlier this month. The chamber is ready to continue to connect businesses and build community as Bellevue establishes itself among a destination city.”
