Empowerment Network Presents 9th Annual Christmas in the Village Celebration

For the ninth year in a row, the Empowerment Network (empoweromaha.com) is excited to invite all of Omaha to their Christmas in the Village community celebration on December 7. This family-friendly event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at 24th and Lake St. The Empowerment Network is proud to have partnered with over 100 local businesses, organizations, and sponsors to provide free carriage rides, photos with Santa, outdoor concerts, and more. There will also be holiday boutique shops open to shop at.

Empowerment Network works collectively to unite and transform Omaha into a great city in every zip code and neighborhood. They united in order to improve the quality of life of African Americans, North Omaha residents, and citizens of the Greater Omaha area. Their goal is to close long-standing gaps in employment, education, housing, and other quality of life factors that have been traditionally based on race and geographical segregation. They host events like the Christmas in the Village in order to promote and sustain community engagement and empowerment.
