Taking place at CHI Health Center Omaha on May 16, the 18th Annual Rebuilding the Village Conference by the Empowerment Network (rtvomaha.com) will bring together community and emerging leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers for a day of education, empowerment and economic advancement.

This year’s conference will feature a dynamic keynote speaker, national partners, cohort leaders and speakers from a variety of locations, including Kansas City, Lansing, New Orleans, Tulsa Black Wall Street and Syracuse. The event will also feature interactive panels and hands-on workshops focused on topics like, career advancement, collaboration, leadership development and wealth building.

“This conference is a powerful opportunity to strategize ways to build economic strength, support businesses and invest in our future,” said Willie Barney, CEO and founder, Empowerment Network. “We are equipping our community with the tools and connections needed to thrive.”

In addition, the Revive Omaha Black Business Expo will showcase Black-owned businesses from across the region. The conference will also act as the official launch of the community-based Transformation 2030 Plan developed and updated with the input and engagement of thousands of leaders and residents.

As an organization dedicated to building safe and thriving communities through economic, educational and social success, Empowerment Network is also supported in part by the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, a program of The Obama Foundation. Initiatives like Rebuilding the Village promote supportive communities for all Omaha residents, including boys and young men of color, ensuring they feel valued and have clear pathways to opportunity.
