Ellie Mental Health – La Vista (elliementalhealth.com/locations/la-vista-ne) is excited to announce the launch of its new ParentChild Interaction Therapy (PCIT) program, aimed at improving the quality of parent-child relationships and enhancing behavior management for children ages 2-7. This evidence-based treatment is designed to help parents strengthen their connection with their children while addressing behavioral challenges such as defiance, aggression and emotional dysregulation.
PCIT focuses on empowering parents with the tools and techniques they need to manage difficult behaviors while fostering positive interactions in a safe and supportive environment. Through real-time coaching and feedback, parents learn to implement effective strategies to reduce frustration and improve communication with their children.
Joseph Suchanic, LIMHP, Clinical Director of Ellie Mental Health – La Vista, serves as a certified PCIT With-in Agency Trainer. With his extensive experience in family therapy and a deep passion for helping Nebraskan families, Joseph leads the program, ensuring high-quality implementation and successful outcomes for both parents and children.
“We are thrilled to offer this transformative program to our community,” said Suchanic. “PCIT has been proven to create lasting change in families, and we’re dedicated to providing the highest level of support to parents and children who need it most.”
