Durham Museum to Host 21 and Over “Flappers and Fizz” Event

The Durham Museum (DurhamMuseum.org) will host Flappers and Fizz, a 21-and-older event, on Friday, February 22, from 6 to 10 p.m. Don your glad rags and get ready to drink some giggle water, you’re invited to a night of flappers, champagne, and art deco. Other event features include a murder mystery game to see if you can figure out which Omaha mobster got “bumped off” during a night of cards. If murder isn’t your game, dance the Charleston with the Jitterbugs and listen to some 20s jazz instead. If you’re lucky, you may even find your way to the secret speakeasy, hidden in the museum. Each ticket receives entry to the event, heavy hors d’oeuvres, one drink ticket, and a mystery game packet.

So grab that flapper dress and your dancing shoes, this night is going to be the bee’s knees! Tickets are available at DurhamMuseum.org/FlappersAndFizz or by calling (402) 444-5071. Cost is $30 museum members, $35 non-members, or $40 at the door.

Making its home in one of Omaha’s most unique treasures, Union Station at 801 S. 10th St., The Durham Museum offers a fascinating look at the history of the region and offers a broad-range of traveling exhibits covering subjects ranging from history and culture, to science, industry and more through our affiliation with the Smithsonian Institution and strong ties with the Library of Congress, National Archives, and the Field Museum.
