Cross Electronic Recycling Announces Summer Electronics Disposal Drive

Cross Training Center LogoCross Electronic Recycling (www.crossrecycling.com) will be collecting unwanted electronics every Saturday beginning May 1 and going through August 30. Sites will be located throughout the city and surrounding areas.

Cross Electronic Recycling will accept anything with a cord, battery or motor—as small as a cell phone to as large as a car, and everything in between!  See a complete list of items online at www.crossrecycling.com. This is a free service with the exception of environmental fees on certain items. All funds that result from the organization’s efforts will go toward Cross Training Center’s vocational training program and you’ll also be helping the environment-both great causes to support! The vocational training program is specifically designed for those in our community who have chronic barriers to employment due to incarceration, homelessness, gang involvement, substance abuse, challenging mental or emotional disorders or who live in chronic poverty for numerous reasons. Learn more at www.crosstc.com.

Cross Electronic Recycling is also seeking volunteers to help at each event–either individuals or groups. Tasks include moving things from cars to trucks, giving out receipts, and managing traffic.  Contact Brenda about volunteering at (402) 960-9789 or brenda@crosstc.com.
