Cox Employees Award Over $133K to Omaha-Area Nonprofits

Cox Charities (coxcharitiescentral.org) awarded $133,483 to greater Omaha nonprofits through its Community Investment Grant program at an October 3 celebration and experiential luncheon. At the event, nonprofits were recognized for their work while participating in round table discussions to inform a broad base of Cox employees about the specific programs their personal contributions supported.

The Cox Charities program, which is funded by local employees, is dedicated to making a positive impact in education, technology, social issues, and the arts. The program’s Community Investment Grants are designed to assist 501(c)(3) organizations with outstanding programs that benefit Nebraska and Iowa service areas.

“Through Cox Charities, our employees are excited to be able to give back to the communities where we live, work, and serve,” said Lynne Reif, market vice president for Cox Omaha. “Their generosity allowed us to support the 22 nonprofits, and that is something we are very proud of.”
