Cox Communications (cox.com) is on track to deploy fiber-to-the-home across metro Omaha, continuing its commitment to delivering reliable and ultra-fast internet connectivity across the market.

Last year, Cox announced it was growing its fiber-to-the-home service to provide multi-gig symmetrical speeds for customers across metro Omaha, and the growth continues. Cox Fiber is already available in parts of Bellevue, Bennington, Aksarben and West Omaha. Construction of fiber-to-the-home continues across the market with completion expected in 2027.

Cox Fiber offers multi-gig speeds for both upload and download. With these speeds, customers can simultaneously stream full 4K movies, backup large files, play multiplayer games online, live stream video and join video conference calls seamlessly.

The company has invested more than $11 billion in network upgrades to deliver some of the most powerful internet, TV, phone, smart home and mobile services and will continue making multibillion-dollar annual infrastructure investments over the next several years. Cox was the first company to bring Omaha customers 100% 1 gig download coverage to all customers. Multi-gig speeds are available to 70% of Omaha customers today, with 100% availability expected by the end of 2024.

Cox Business continues expanding multi-gigabit symmetrical speeds in all service areas and fiber connections as fast as 100 gig with managed cloud services and advanced cyber security solutions. Cox also is proactively addressing the convergence of wired and wireless connectivity by giving customers new opportunities to combine their mobile and broadband services, offering fast, fiber-powered internet at home, packaged with unbeatable 5G reliability on the go.
