Corn Belt League Expands Into 2020, Seeks Board Members and Community Partners
The Corn Belt League (www.CornBeltLeague.com) is one of the fastest growing summer college baseball leagues in the country. The league is set to grow to six teams in 2020 to accommodate the plethora of players wanting to come here to play.
Everyone knows that Omaha is the place for college baseball, and the Corn Belt League’s goal is to provide a cost-effective opportunity for both local and college players from across the United States to come here to play summer baseball. Expansion opportunities for the 2020 season and beyond sets the Corn Belt League up to be one of the premier summer collegiate development leagues.
With the expansion, the league is seeking to recreate the fan excitement and experiences that are seen at both the Minor Leagues and Independent levels, and they hope to find community partners who share in their vision of becoming the top developmental baseball league.
The league brings trade to the community—families, friends, and scouts come from all over the country to see their favorites play. In addition, through the nonprofit MVP4Life (www.MVP4Life.org), these college players mentor the youth in the community.
The Corn Belt League is seeking corporate sponsors, community partners, as well as additional board members to support the expansion efforts leading into 2020 and beyond.
