Centris Federal Credit Union (centrisfcu.org) proudly announced the completion of two major donation initiatives, underscoring its dedication to community support and betterment.

Centris employees recently contributed 1,149 pounds of supplies and filled six manila envelopes with heartfelt letters of gratitude that will be used to create care packages by the Support Our Troops organization. Support Our Troops was established for the purpose of strengthening the morale and well-being of current military service members and their families. “Our employees are proud to stand behind our troops, and these care packages are just a small token of our appreciation for the sacrifices they make every day,” said Chrissy Cunningham, Benefits Administrator at Centris.

In addition to supporting troops, Centris extended its charitable efforts to address a critical need in our communities. Centris organized a diaper drive across all its branch locations, benefiting the Nebraska Diaper Bank, Hope Harbor in Grand Island and Hope Esperanza in North Platte. This initiative aims to combat diaper insecurity, a pressing issue affecting one in three families in Nebraska who struggle to afford diapers for their children.

“The Nebraska Diaper Bank, one of the beneficiaries of Centris’s diaper drive, plays a crucial role in the community by providing diapers through collaborative partnerships to change lives and empower families in need,” said Dawn Gonzales, Vice President, Community Relations at Centris. “Our donation initiatives align with the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” and our commitment to investing in the communities we serve. These donations provide essential supplies and contribute to reducing stress for families and improving the well-being of both parents and children.”
