Centris Federal Credit Union (centrisfcu.org) is pleased to announce the recipients of its second annual community grant program, awarding $50,000 to seven local nonprofits.

Centris received over 180 grant applications with more than $1.4 million in requested funding. The 2024 recipients of the Centris Community Grant are:

  • Access Period (fiscal agent Partnership 4 Hope)
  • Heart Heroes
  • Hot Shops Art Foundation
  • Memories For Kids
  • Rape Domestic Abuse Program (RDAP)
  • RESPECT
  • The Set Me Free Project

“We continue to see a variety of needs in the communities we serve, from North Platte to Council Bluffs,” said Dawn Gonzales, Vice President of Community Relations at Centris. “Our committee of five senior leaders reads and scores each application using a rubric that focuses on our community pillars of financial education, health and human services and community betterment. While time consuming, the application review process really allows us to learn about many nonprofits that we may never get to know through traditional means. We are excited about this year’s selection and look forward to seeing the impact that these grants will make throughout Nebraska and Western Iowa,” she said.

Centris will continue its community grant program with applications available in August 2025. More information will be available on their website at centrisfcu.org.
