Centris Federal Credit Union (www.centrisfcu.org) is pleased to announce they are ready to serve members in an expanded field of membership. Six new counties that include Cass, Dodge, Saunders and Washington counties in Nebraska, and Harrison and Mills counties in Iowa will be included in Centris’ new service area. Individuals who live, work, worship or attend school in these counties are eligible for membership in the credit union. Centris also serves Douglas, Sarpy, Lincoln, McPherson and Pottawattamie counties.

Centris President/CEO, Steve Swanstrom, said the field of membership expansion is important to the credit union’s growth. “As we enter our 90th year of service, Centris is excited to serve the financial needs of the greater Omaha Council Bluffs metropolitan area. This means we can deliver our world-class service experience to even more people in our community. Community members living in the newly added counties will be able to access financial services digitally or by visiting one of Centris’ 15 branch locations.

Founded as Omaha Telephone Employees Federal Credit Union in 1934 with a name change to Bell Federal Credit Union in 1974 and to Centris Federal Credit Union in 2000, the credit union now serves a broader member base that is much more diversified and inclusive in several Nebraska and Iowa communities. Since its founding, Centris has grown to serve more than 128,000 members and remains true to the idea of being a trusted, lifelong financial partner.
