PJ Morgan Real Estate and Centris Federal Credit Union (centrisfcu.org) have announced their partnership for the second year to support a local nonprofit. Duet was chosen to receive $10,000.
Brian Beard, Centris assistant vice president, mortgage production, said “Centris is excited and honored to partner with PJ Morgan Real Estate to support them in their Charity of the Year program. Duet is a great organization that provides developmental disability services for children and adults in the Omaha metro area. Everyone at Centris is looking forward to helping Duet accomplish great things in 2025.”
The partnership was announced at PJ Morgan’s employee celebration, where Centris president Steve Swanstrom, Centris mortgage and business banking team members and PJ Morgan’s executives presented a check for $10,000 to Marcy Browning, development director at Duet.
“At PJ Morgan Real Estate, our annual chili cookoff has become a cherished tradition, and it’s one of the team’s favorite events of the year. The cookoff winner not only earns bragging rights but also gets to select the charity we’ll support in the upcoming year. This year, we were honored when our maintenance supervisor, Steve Baio, chose Duet as our 2025 Charity of the Year. Steve’s family has a strong passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, and Duet’s work aligns perfectly with those values. For a second year, we’re excited to have Centris join PJ Morgan Real Estate in fundraising and supporting Duet’s efforts! We are incredibly proud to support such a great organization and look forward to making an impact alongside them in the year ahead,” said Ryan Ellis, CEO of PJ Morgan Real Estate.
Marcy Browning, development director for Duet, said that she loves the spirit of community that this partnership creates. “We all do what we do well. We are all neighbors, and 100 percent of the money donated will go to the people we support,” she said. The three areas of need supported by the donation are personal expenditures like durable medical equipment, non-reimbursable services that Medicaid does not cover, and emergency services that are not covered through other social services.
