Omaha, Nebraska- Caregivers are the silent champions of our communities, dedicating their lives to supporting those in need. Through its Heart of Care Stories initiative, Caretech (caretechinc.com) proudly recognizes and celebrates these unsung heroes, honoring their compassion, resilience, and unwavering service.

This year’s Heart of Care recipients were recognized not only for their extraordinary dedication but also for their profound impact on the lives of the individuals they care for. To show appreciation, each honoree received a special check as a token of gratitude. The honorees are as follows:

  • Shawn Bellew – A devoted caregiver who embodies selfless love and dedication. His unwavering commitment to his family was celebrated alongside Jen, a Community Liaison, as he received his Heart of Care Award
  • Colleen & Thomas – After Thomas, a veteran, lost his wife, his daughter Colleen stepped up as his full-time caregiver, balancing her career while ensuring her father received the care and respect he deserves. Through Caretech’s Best Possible Care Program, their bond is supported and honored.
  • June, Jonathan & Peggy – A story of resilience and care, June, a single mother of five, was struggling to support her autistic son, Jonathan, while running her baking business. Peggy, a retired nurse, stepped in, providing emotional support, stability and companionship that transformed both their lives.
