CareBuilders at Home Distributes 100 Backpacks of Essentials to Homeless People

CareBuilders at Home Omaha (carebuildersathomeomaha.com) staff and families gathered essential hygiene life items, filled a total of 100 backpacks with them, and drove around Omaha to distribute them to homeless individuals and families as cold weather set in in December. The backpacks were filled with hygiene items, snacks, socks, hats, gloves, a Bible, reusable water bottles, and fleece blankets. CareBuilders staff and families spent a couple weekends putting everything together and another two weekends distributing them. CareBuilders started their backpack gifts to the homeless as their way of paying forward their blessings to those in need in their own unique, private way. They grow the number of backpacks distributed by 25 each year, this year reaching that 100 mark.
