The Business Ethics Alliance (BusinessEthicsAlliance.org) is excited to be celebrating 15 years of growth, learning and unforgettable memories. As they celebrate this milestone, the Alliance has been reflecting on the journey that has shaped them into who they are today, the relationships yet to be made and the dreams waiting to be realized. The year-long celebration continues at the Annual Trustees Meeting on November 16 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Scott Conference Center. Don Eckles, Founder of Scooter’s Coffee, will share insights about running a values-based organization in changing times as the keynote speaker.
The Alliance was legally established in 2008 as a standalone, not-for-profit entity “to build leadership, strengthen organizations and elevate Greater Omaha through positive, practical business education.” Dr. Beverly Kracher at Creighton University led the discussion about founding the Alliance with three founding partners quickly joining that discussion: the Heider College of Business, Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the BBB of the Midland Plains; Bob Bates, former CEO of Jefferson Pilot represented the Omaha business community in these discussions. Additionally, the Alliance is made up of Trustee Partners around Omaha who act as a guild of business leaders serving as ambassadors, supporters and advisors of the Alliance’s mission. Mission Drivers provide significant and sustainable support.
