Omaha entrepreneurs Zac Triemert and Holly Mulkins are launching Borgata, Omaha’s newest craft brewery and distillery.  The business will include a 9,000-square-ft manufacturing brewery and distillery along with a tasting room to accommodate approximately 100 guests. Headquartered in the heart of the Old Market at 1116 Jackson (currently Second Chance Antiques), Borgata’s Omaha operation will include a packaging and canning line brewery and a separate distillery area featuring large custom-made copper stills and whisky barrel storage.   Borgata’s tasting room will offer a view of the copper stills alongside the uniquely Old Market interior of exposed brick, steel, and wood.  As part of the space’s renovation, the original 1924 structure will be exposed and will feature a serving bar and table seating. Patrons will also be able to enjoy Borgata’s unique beers and small-batch spirits alfresco on a front patio.

Triemert and Mulkins anticipate Borgata, named for an Italian word meaning “family,” will begin serving Omahans in November 2013 and follow up in distributing beer and spirits throughout the Midwest by Spring of 2014.
