Bark Avenue recently participated in The Daycare Games, sponsored by The Dog Gurus (www.safeoffleashplay.com). The Daycare Games is an annual competition of off-leash dog play attendants and pet centers. Through competition each contestant demonstrates his/her dog leadership and management skills which assist in making the off-leash dog playgrounds safe and fun. This allows members of The Dog Gurus online community to benchmark their pet daycare center and staff’s proficiency against top industry peers across the world. This year, 79 facilities from all over the country competed. The Bark Avenue staff took the top four places in their large class division (8+ dogs per group), with Michelle, Carrie, Jen, and Jessica tying for first nationally and the facility placing 3rd overall. Other gold medal winners were Will, Whitney, Jesse, and Kyle. In total Bark Avenue took home 21 gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medal.
