Bankers Trust (bankerstrust.com) has honored its Omaha branch with the 2025 Bankers Trust Teamwork Impact Award, which recognizes one team across the company each year for outstanding collaborative volunteer efforts. Twenty-two team members were recognized.

The Omaha team focused its 2025 volunteer efforts on causes including child abuse prevention, family support services, and strengthening local community resources. They also prioritized accessibility to ensure all team members could fully participate by choosing on-site volunteer opportunities or activities that could be completed within the workplace. This ensured all Omaha team members had a chance to contribute, regardless of their role or availability.

Volunteer initiatives included partnering with Project Harmony to raise awareness of child abuse prevention, supporting Special Olympics Nebraska, participating in a Keep Omaha Beautiful cleanup, assisting Hope Lodge with pantry stocking and caregiver outreach, and sorting donations for families in need at Heartland Hope Mission.

In addition to volunteer impact, the Omaha team achieved 100% participation in the 2025 United Way Campaign and hosted over 20 nonprofit organizations in the Bankers Trust Community Room.

As part of their award recognition, Bankers Trust Omaha directed a $2,500 donation to Heartland Hope Mission, supporting its services for low-income families, including food, clothing, hygiene supplies, SNAP assistance and job resources.

“We hope our efforts help support our community partners and ensure they have the volunteer power needed to continue serving the Omaha metro,” says Scott Leighton, Nebraska market president. “By coming together as a team, we’re able to make meaningful, measurable impact in the communities we serve.”
