5168 Brewing Taproom Now Open

Lovers of local brews have a new destination of choice in midtown Omaha.

5168 Brewing Taproom (www.5168brewing.com) is now open in Midtown Crossing at 3201 Farnam Street. It is the only spot in Omaha serving up a full selection of beers produced at 5168 Brewing in Lincoln.

Offerings include 5168 Brewing’s 88 Lager, New Beginnings IPA, and the Kangaroo Dropkick Double IPA, which is made with hops from Australia and New Zealand. All can be paired with hamburgers, sandwiches (including the must-try Heartbreak Hotel) and other “beer-friendly foods” from the taproom’s full-service kitchen.

5168 Brewing and the 5168 Brewing Taproom are owned and operated by 88 Restaurant Group.

The number 5168 represents “my smooth road to good fortune” in Chinese. The establishment’s Farnam Street location in Midtown Crossing puts it in the heart of a midtown community highly-regarded for its contributions to the local craft beer revolution.
