Lauritzen Gardens and the Greater Omaha Orchid Society will offer a colorful respite from the winter doldrums with their much anticipated Orchid Show and Sale, Saturday, Mar. 2 and Sunday, Mar. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The garden is pleased to host the Greater Omaha Orchid Society’s 26th annual show, juried by experienced judges sanctioned by the American Orchid Society.

World-class orchid growers from around the country, as well as the local orchid society, will fill the great hall with orchids of wondrous variety. Throughout the show, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the growers, ask questions of orchid experts, purchase orchids and related items, photograph an exquisite array of orchid specimens and immerse themselves in the beauty and fragrance of orchids.

The Orchid Show and Sale is included with garden admission ($6 adults, $3 children 6-12, free for children under 6). Lauritzen Gardens members enjoy free general admission and show admission.

Lauritzen Gardens is conveniently located in the beautiful riverfront hills at First and Bancroft Streets and is close to the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium and the Old Market.
