At Ease USA (AEU, www.ateaseusa.org) will be hosting the annual Forge Ahead 5K on Saturday, June 24 at the Walnut Creek Recreation Area in Papillion. The month of June has been designated as PTSD Awareness Month. AEU hosts this community-wide event to shed light on the impact of PTSD, reduce the stigma associated with PTSD and ensure that those suffering from the invisible wounds of trauma know that they are not alone.
Bring your family and friends! Registration is $25 per racer, and $15 per child under 12. If you register before May 26, you are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Registration prices will also be raised to $30 after May 26. On race day, check-in starts at 8 a.m. with the race to begin at 9 a.m.
