McGill Restoration (mcgillrestoration.com) has come a long way since 1985.

In 1985, Tim McGill Sr. had a successful painting business. When Tim McGill, Jr. decided to follow in his father’s entrepreneurial footsteps, he made masonry repair and restoration his company’s primary focus. McGill Restoration started there and soon expanded into concrete work, parking garage rehabilitation and construction, infrastructure and bridge repair, and stadium renovations.
Thirty-six years later, Tim Jr. and the team of craftsmen at McGill Restoration have repaired, restored, or rebuilt everything from 100-year-old masonry buildings and stone monuments to key interstate systems. The company boasts four consecutive Inc. 5000 Awards as one of the fastest-growing privately-owned companies in the United States. Now, McGill Restoration will expand its operations even further with two new acquisitions.

In 2021, McGill Restoration purchased Wilkinson Sandblasting, a central-Nebraska industrial coating and restoration outfit, and Commercial Waterproofing, a concrete waterproofing business with offices in Oklahoma City and Wagoner, OK. The combination of skill sets between McGill Restoration and the newly acquired businesses means that the company can offer outstanding year-round, scalable restoration services.

Some of McGill Restoration’s Projects

Why acquire these companies, and why now? Tim McGill Jr., president of McGill Restoration, says it was simply the right time—and the Oklahoma market needs a skilled restoration partner.
“We’d already grown so much in the Omaha and Lincoln areas, and had a great reputation for quality work, which meant that we were able to capture lots of projects. We were ready to grow beyond the work we were successfully getting, and Oklahoma is a perfect fit. We are excited to bring the full package of large-scale restoration capabilities that we offer to this market,” said McGill Jr.

This growth into new markets will also allow McGill Restoration to offer a wider range of year-round job opportunities to their expanded team of skilled laborers and craftsmen.
“Both the Wilkinson Industrial and the Commercial Waterproofing teams have the talent and experience that complement what McGill Restoration has to offer,” McGill Jr. said. “We’re excited about what the future has in store.”

McGill Restoration is the Midwest’s industry leader in concrete and masonry repair, restoration, and construction.
