When Lisa Arp’s father retired from a career at Kiewit, he got involved in the Assisted Living business through a friend and they decided to build one in the Omaha area. They broke ground on SilverRidge Assisted Living and Memory Support Community in September of 2001 and Lisa came on board to run the marketing for the community. SilverRidge Assisted Living and Memory Support Community is located in Gretna Nebraska. It is owned and operated by Lisa’s family with her brother Dan Sedlacek as Executive Director, brother John Sedlacek as Maintenance Director, and sister Lori as Activities Director. At SilverRidge in Gretna, they are the family owned, low-cost choice for Assisted Living in the area.
Tell us a little about your family.
I have been divorced for almost three years now and I am the mother of two beautiful girls from a 14 year marriage. My oldest daughter, Kelsey is 20. She is married and lives in Idaho with my son-in-law Ben and my beautiful granddaughter Emery. My youngest daughter Shelby is 13 and is going into 8th grade at Gretna Middle School.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
One of the biggest turning points in my life was my decision to leave my partnership in two hair salons and come work for my father at SilverRidge in 2003. Never in my wildest dreams did I know that I would be working in this field, especially since I was a dance major in college. But it has been the most fulfilling experience next to becoming a mother and grandmother.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

I was in the top 20 for Miss Dance of America.
