FAMILY, Inc. (www.familyia.org) is excited to welcome Jennifer Casson, BSN, RN, C-EFM, to the board of directors. She’s been a nurse in maternity services for 22 years as a bedside nurse, night nursing supervisor, and presently the CHI Health Mercy Maternity manager.
Amber is a 1997 graduate of Mennonite School of Nursing in Bloomington, IL and is currently finishing her MSN/MBA at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She has three adult children whose advocacy for women’s issues has inspired her own awareness and support. She has lived in southwest Iowa the majority of her life and is invested in the community.
“The wealth of experience and knowledge Jennifer brings to the FAMILY board is rivaled only by her passion for serving our community,” said Kimberly Kolakowski, executive director. “We can’t wait to see how Jennifer helps transform our organization!”
Her passion and advocacy fueled Jennifer’s interest in being a part of the FAMILY, Inc. board.
“The partnership that Mercy Maternity has with FAMILY to provide support and services for women and children in our community has been so beneficial and I wanted to continue to support FAMILY outside of my work at Mercy. I believe in their mission and vision as it follows what I hold dear to my heart. Providing services to engage and educate our community and equitable opportunities to thrive,” said Jennifer.
